MEŽVIDI IS ONE OF THE MOST MODERN GREENHOUSES IN THE BALTIC STATES
The first production of tomatoes began in January 2013. The density of plants is 2.5 plants per square meter. In conditions of severe competition from suppliers of tomatoes from other countries Mežvidi set a goal to increase the yield and quality of products without changing the existing (standard) supplementary lighting system and climate balance.
The COBA system of spectrum correction (optimization) developed by ELGRO in the form of additional devices integrated into the existing supplementary lighting system, proved to be ideal in terms of cost and productivity.
The first results were already visible at the stage of plants growth.
Due to the application of the COBA system of spectrum correction (optimization) the parameters of organoleptic properties have been improved and the yield indicators by the corrector factor have been increased by 27.8%.
